Most people are familiar with the concept of books being turned into movies. In fact, these days, it seems like the most popular blockbusters are often inspired by Young Adult novels or comic book franchises. And it’s understandable whenever that happens. Sometimes, the success of a book can be a great indicator for a decent story with some serious potential. But something that not a lot of people often talk about is how there are so many movies out there that are being turned into video games.

It’s undeniable that the video game industry is the strongest that it’s ever been. This is especially true coming off the heels of a global pandemic that had people quarantining themselves in their homes for long periods of time. There was a huge surge in the playing of video games, whether on PC, consoles, or mobile devices. Now, going back to our earlier point about movies being turned into video games. There are actually a lot of games out there spanning different devices which are both successful and stem from great blockbuster movies. Here are five different video games that were inspired by films.

While Marvel’s Avengers offered solid gameplay, the Arkham Trilogy on the DC side of the fence just completely revolutionized gaming. When it first came out in the late 2000s, Arkham Asylum by Rocksteady unveiled one of the best combat systems in all of gaming. It was so successful, that the system would then be copied by different developers for their own individual titles.
