It’s really simple,you need to adjust some phone settings.

Disable the Animated Wallpaper

If you are one who love animated Images,then please change yourself by concerning your Androids battery,These type of animated Wallpapers will Increase the processing hence it will drain your battery soon.

You can set some static Wallpapers and If you choose dark colored wallpapers,such as Black your battery life will be increased.

Adjust the Screen brightness and timeout

Typically In most android phone the display screen consumes more than 30{71b550cbed0aca3fea2335d26076176dc834a5ad6e765af844b2cea64fe7483b} of battery energy,So If you set high brightness it is good to reduce a bit which will decrease little bit battery consumption.To reduce the brightness Go to Settings,Display menu and change Brightness and Also look for Screen Timeout settings,just set that to below 30 sec.

Disable WiFi and Bluetooth when you are not using it

Uninstall the unwanted applications

You need to find unwanted applications that your are not using currently such as old games that you completed or got bored with it.To monitor the tasks running background you can install task manager which will give you the details of background processing,you can just kill the unwanted apps like you do in Windows OS.

Disable Google Play Auto Update

You are most likely to turn on the auto update feature while installing Apps from Google Play,If you have turned on WiFi then it most likely to update whenever the new update is available without your knowledge.So to make it easy you need to turn ON Google Play notification by visiting Google Play settings.

Optional : Disable apps which use sync

By default you will receive notifications from Social network accounts and Email services like Gmail.This will consumes lot of battery energy so if you wish you can turn off these notifications.
