Sony just came out with their new flagship this year. No doubt the Xperia Z5 is not for the people who like short and compact phones. And since the smartphones are getting bigger and bigger, let us see how it compares with the similar product from Apple, that is the iPhone 6S Plus. Both being new, and in the same category, one could argue which one is better. If you own an iPhone already, Then We would suggest you to Sell iPhone and buy Xperia Z5 over it. I am sure you will love this decision of your life.
Here is a short and quick round up of what both of these devices pack.
Starting with the display, the iPhone 6S plus packs a 5.5 inch display with a 1080p resolution, and on the other side the Z5 packs a 5.2 inch display. So resolution is not much of an advantage here for the Xperia Z5 as well as the iPhone. The iPhone 6S Plus is powered by the new Apple A9 chip which is a beast in performance, and even gives benchmarks in competition with some older Macs.
While on the other hand, the Z5 has a Snapdragon 810 under it’s hood, with 4 cores clocked at 1.5 GHz and 4 of them clocked at 2 GHz. It is not octa core, it just utilized 4 out of total 8, balancing the power consumption and performance. Iphone 6S Plus has 2 gigs of RAM, while the Xperia has 3 Gigs of RAM, and also expandable storage, which is a feature iPhones lack, of course.
iPhone 6S features a 12 Megapixel shooter with a f/2.2 aperture, while the Sony features a 23 Megapixel sensor, with f/2.0 aperture. Both of them have similar video recording capabilities at 2160p@30 fps and Full HD at 60 fps. The front facing cameras on both of them are also the same, as they both have around 5 MP.
The battery on the Xperia is bigger than the iPhone so it provides with extra juice and hence gives a better stand by time. Talking numbers, Xperia Z5 has 520h and the iPhone has 384, as it is evident as the iPhone has a bigger display. Also one great feature included in the Xperia is that it has support for fast charging, which the iphone lacks. The Xperia Z5 can go from 0 to 60 percent in about 30 mins, which is great. Also at the price comparison, the Xperia Z5 proves to be the winner here, as the iPhone 6S Plus is way more expensive. But one new feature which the 6S plus brings in is the 3D touch, which is just force touch, and just a bumed version of which the android has with dedicated shortcuts.
