Snapping A Screenshot

There is a good chance that you’ll need to snap a screenshot of your picture at some point or another. With Windows, this often requires opening the Snip tool and going from there. With Macs, the process is far simpler than you could ever imagine. If you want to capture the entire screen, you just need to press CMD, Shift and 3 simultaneously. If you wish to capture a specific portion of the screen, you should press 4 instead of 3. Then, you’ll be able to drag your mouse over the portion of the screen that you wish to capture.

So Many Special Characters

The Mac operating system provides users with access to tons of special characters and emojis. There is a good chance that you’ll want to use some of these in your messages and emails.  Thankfully, you can find a comprehensive list of all of your special characters by clicking on the magnifying glass and searching for Character Viewer. After you’ve found the specific emoji that you prefer, you just need to double-click it. It will automatically be added to your message or email.

A Different Control, Alt, Delete

When something goes wrong on your Windows computer, you’ll want to hit Control, Alt and Delete simultaneously. This will allow you to close the frozen program or restart your computer different. On a Mac, you’ll need to use something different. You’ll need to hold the CMD and Option keys together. Then, press Esc. This will bring up the Force Quit menu. From there, you’ll be able to see which programs are running and which one is experiencing problems.

QuickTime Screen Recording

Have you ever wanted to record your screen? Perhaps you want to create a tutorial and post it on YouTube? With Windows, you might have to download an additional program to perform this feature. With Apple, you can just rely on QuickTime. Just open the QuickTime program. Then, you should click File and New screen recording. This allows you to capture your screen and sound. Increasing The Cursor

With recent Mac updates, users now have the option of increasing the size of their cursor. There is a good chance that you’ve lost your cursor at some point. Now, you can solve this problem by wiggling your mouse or moving your finger back and forth quickly on the trackpad. This will increase the cursor’s size and make it clearly visible on your screen.
