As you know Dropbox is the excellent solution for storing our files on cloud but sometimes we may want to upload bulk files from one location to another, for example if you like to upload your existing backup from your host to Dropbox. This type of uploading files from one server to another is called Remote upload.
There ain’t much services to accomplish this task,if you Google it you wont find any filehost which will support remote uploading,Fortunately you can remote upload your files to Dropbox using the DropBox Apps.
The following two Dropbox apps will help to remote upload your files
-
http://urldroplet.com/ – You can upload upto 300MB
-
https://www.sidecloudload.com/ – You can upload upto 25MB
Personally I have used both the apps and both works very well, especially I tried UrlDroplet with 250MB file and it worked like a charm.
You can also manage these apps by visiting My Apps tab which will be in your Dropbox settings.
But dude its less then 500 mb
I dont find any better solution than these two…I will update the list if i find any.
These are large files? Hah, what about the 20 GB datasets I work with? Ugh.
Thanks a lot Bro .. Was looking for this Solution .. !
250 MB is not quite enough for all Files .. but it’s better then nothing .. !
Keep up the Good Work!
Thanks a lot Shato.Yes Indeed 250 MB is not a big deal but what you can do is split your backup file as a several archive.
Yeah I admit that there is no perfect replacement for a good backup system but It is cheap and Opt for small websites.
Good tip!
thanks
You are welcome man..

You are welcome Rizky…I will try to come up with solutions for sugarsync.
Thanks for sharing your opinion.
Personally i love sidecloud the most since it’s support remote upload with login password [http://user:pass@file_url], but only the filesize limitation makes me dissappointed
Nice, but is there any service to upload more than 300 MBs?
Thanks for this! Nice tip.
